The new Sony eBook Reader with us soon
On some forums foreign sector is struggling for a long time on launch and on the technical features of the next e-reader from Sony.
Many questions are now answered (almost final) in a recent interview with Bloomberg Phil Lubell, vice president of Sony's Digital Reading.
According to Bloomberg reported there would be no real opportunity to see the new e-reader in the U.S. market as early as next August, more than a few weeks in anticipation for the commercialization of the Android tablet S1 and S2 (respectively 10 and 5.5 inches ). If these signs are observed the new devices could arrive in Italy in October, exactly one year from the commercialization of the models and PRS350 PRS650 still for sale.
Lubell, however, did not give any indication on price and, above all, on any technical improvements that will characterize the new e-reader.
However, given the recent trend of the market to offer devices that can connect to the network, we can expect that Sony will adapt to this trend by providing this new generation of ebook readers at least Wi-Fi connection to allow them to access directly from the device, the ebook of your virtual store.
Much the same could be done on the price. The Japanese must chase the scissors on the prices that Barnes & Noble, Kobo and (long since) Amazon have made their own devices: the current models Sony PRS have a price between 199 and 249 euros, while in the U.S. the Nook Touch costs 139 dollars, Kobo Touch $ 129 $ 139 and the Kindle (which drops to $ 114 if you buy the version of "sponsored").
