Samsung Galaxy Tab UX 10.1 with TouchwizThe fun comes from the small armada of Android-Tablets of the last few months: They were on the software side, all pretty similar. Samsung TouchWiz is the first provider of Google's Honeycomb adapts his own visual images. We checked it out.
What we like
The normal honeycomb version is darker, colder and conveys a futuristic feel. Touchwiz UX, however, is bright and inviting. It would be at the breakfast table visually. It appears friendly. The menus and the on-screen keyboard are light gray. The fonts look clearer.
The weather display is also made pretty. There's even a separate button on the status bar, which allows you to take screenshots (which was missing from Android so far from home). The design is summarized pleasing but less stylish.
Less pleased
The Touchwiz UX is ultimately trivial. It has rather tried to incorporate some embellishments and not to revise the interface. Who does not like honeycomb, with the new surface will also not be happy. Behind the home screen and the Setup menu is hard to find much that was very greatly changed. There is one area, with Samsung's own mini-apps and widgets that RECOURSE hidden until you click the arrow in the status bar. But most of these apps are at best irrelevant.
Conclusion:
It is not that you have the choice to use Touchwiz UX, unless you did not update a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and wants its software. But if you fear that the update Honeycomb ruined, we can assure you - this is not the case. It does not change very much, but look like the OS can only get better.
